While Reading “Growth Hacking” from Luis Díaz del Dedo we learned that there are multiple acquisition channels, but it is worth it only once we have our funnel optimized, and that virality plays a great role in acquisition.

There are different acquisition channels and it is advised to start from 2-3 of them and then iterate. Examples: 

  • Viral Marketing
  • RRPP
  • SEM
  • SEO
  • Offline Ads
  • Email Marketing
  • Events
  • Conferences
  • Communities
  • Affiliates
  • Business Development
  • Content Marketing
  • Sales force

The final goal is to acquire users that create virality, which is defined as the capacity that a user has to attract new users. Before focusing in the virality, make sure you have a good activation and retention. With a great product, it is easier to acquire new users.

The different phases of growth can be separated as follows: 

  • Get a minimum number of users to use your product so you can get some feedback and metrics. 
  • Improve your product and funnel based on feedback while measuring all the activities. 
  • Make users bring as much users as they can. Virality. 
  • Maximize growth once you have everything set.
